Hooray! It is (well, was) New Missionary Day! Also known as stress-city. Not so much stress for us, but for the missionaries who probably didn’t sleep well last night, got up super early and flew here, collected most of their luggage (don’t worry we got it all on the next flight) and then paperwork, paperwork and more paperwork. Whew!
This looks to be a great group. It was fun to meet them at the airport and chat a bit during all the hustle and bustle of the day. Along with the paperwork was a chance to meet for a quick interview with President Hall and be a part of miracles. We pair up the new missionaries with some awesome old missionaries and send them out to find people to teach. Today we passed out copies of The Book of Mormon, taught lessons, felt the spirit found families interested in the gospel. It was awesome. We finished up around 8 and sent everyone off for an early bedtime to prepare for tomorrow’s Transfer Meeting where they will meet their companion/trainer and head off to their area to bless lives and change eternities.
We are so excited to have them here! We know the Lord will bless them as they labor in His kingdom.
